Mother’s Day Out (MDO) is a Ministry of Fellowship of Oso Creek to preschool children and their families. Our purpose is to provide children a safe, developmentally appropriate, and positive learning experience that has God as the center. We desire to build positive first impressions toward God, Jesus, the Bible, and church. We utilize a Bible based curriculum that allows children to explore, create, learn, and understand through hands-on activities. Language development, early science and math concepts, and pre-reading skills are learned in an environment rich in discovery opportunities. MDO is a place where laughter and play are cherished and where learning is fun.



We hire Christian co-teachers to teach toddlers, 2 year olds, 3 year olds and PreK classes, as well as a program assistant/music teacher and regular substitutes. You will provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged and individuality is respected. Available: Monday & Wednesday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm, most last Friday of the month morning staff workday and meeting
Start Date & Training - midAugust.
Competitive pay begins at $10/hour

Responsibilities:
Meet individual needs of children.
Supervise and interact with children in a positive manner.
Encourage involvement in learning activities.
Develop and implement lesson plans.
Create monthly written and electronic parent communication newsletters. D
esign an appropriate room arrangement and daily schedule to support the goals and developmental level of the children.
Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior.
Establish and maintain good communications with parents and coworkers.
Maintain a warm, safe, orderly, appealing environment, in which children can grow, explore, and learn.
Follow health, safety and cleaning best practices.
Participate in staff training and meetings.
 


Requirements:
Experience with preschool children.
High school diploma or GED, must be 18 or older.
Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desirable, but not required.
Understanding of child development and ability to apply knowledge in the classroom.
Mature/good judgement.
Team player.
Physical stamina including the ability to lift children, and to get up and down to interact with children on the floor.
Understanding that working in a childcare environment naturally exposes you to communicable diseases including COVID 19.
Ability to complete all required background checks, paperwork, and training.
